The term “chemical hazard” includes both chemical substances and mixtures that are hazardous when they are as a chemical product or in any other state. Other conditions may be exhaust fumes or other air pollutants, or any hazard in or to a material, plant or technical device. Substances that are not classified as dangerous according to international law do not require special explanations and instructions except in certain circumstances. For example, aluminum is a non-hazardous material by nature, but when acid leaks on aluminum foil, hydrogen gas is generated, which poses a risk of fire and fire.
